Since this was my significant others first time playing golf, she was a little nervous on the first tee since all the other players are mulling around waiting for their turn to play. Realizing our situation, the starter, who on most courses is usually very nice and considerate, set us up on the back nine where no one was around.

If I had a 1 for every person I’d had tell me there were never shopping at Tesco again, then arrived next week I’d be a very rich person.
Its what people do, they twitter to each other. For some reason, its something we’ve always been good at in the country (Why do you think so many people can relate to Victor Meldrew or Basil Fawlty!) all people do in this country is moan. If its so bad, bugger off elsewhere, or at least do something to change it.
Disclaimer, this is going off topic now, but I’m on my soap box.
For some unknown reason, we allow ourselfs to be ripped off by the government in almost every way imaginable (I am awaiting a tax on the air we breath next) and what happens? Nothing! We moan to each other on a daily basis, but no one has the balls to do anything about it.
Most other countries would bring the capital to a halt, cause riots and make some noise and get these idiots out of power (now I sound like Alf Garnet!) but what do we do? We continually get walked over by the powers that be, banging on about how important our freedom of speech is (thats right, so long as we can have a right good moan to each other about the situation we find our self in, were not bothered about dealing with it!)
Steps off soap box.
As I have said what seems like 1001 times, if PBB find, that by May/June next year profits are down significantly, I am fairly certain admission policies will be revised. But if a handful of people on the internet (including these clowns from that ’stop the charge’ facebook group) think they are going to change anything by continually ranting about it on here, they are very much mistaken. Trust me, before I started shaving I was under the impression if I ranted on every site going about the Vikingar’s removal BPB would come round to my way of thinking. Wrong! What actually happened was I made myself look a fool.
If you are correct about this being a nail in PBB’s coffin, its ultimately another nail in Blackpool’s, and more so the leisure industry, brought about by outside influences way beyond PBB’s control.

Next PBB Attraction For Removal?

Lose the Grand Prix altogether for me. Its the most lame excuse for a ride to ever grace PBB with its presence. It holds too much space and it quite frankly boring!

Grand National vs Corkscrew

Good grief, I though the Rev vs Corkscrew was a tough one.
If both ides were next to each other, the one I’d be stright on would certainly be the Nash. Its a fantastic ride in every way. The Corkscrew is a very good ride, but its not brilliant.
As for histoircal importance, I’d be edgeing towards Corkscrew, for the simple reason that PBB was well established when the Nash opened. Out of todays line up, it already had the Big Dipper and RollerCoaster, plus the Reel and a host of other rides (Flying Machines ect ect) whereas Alton had next to nothing (well, it had nothing other than a fairground and the towers themselfs) I dare say Altons percentage increased turnover was greater in 1980 that BPB’s was in 1935.
That aside, today the Nash is of far greater importance due to the very fact it remains after the awful events in 2004, it would have been so easy for GT to say ‘its had its time, scrap it’ but he didn’t. Nor did Amanda stop its re-build half way through when she took over the park, something else which could have happened had she dis-agreed with the desire to keep the ride.
I am honistly stuck here!

Well if we never see an intamin rocket coaster at pbb i would settle for a intamin water chute!
i did study some overhead shots of the space behind infusion thinking could one fit in this space? i can only dream lol |
I was looking at a potential space for a ride like Hydro or Tidal Wave at BPB.
If they took out the Swamp buggies, they’d have alot of space from Turtle Chase’s old land up to by the seating area under the Italian Job. For a compact water ride, I think it would be a useful space, but I dont think it will happen, it was probably more wishful thinking lol.
I do think the next attraction will be a water ride though.
